Solar Sisters with Jeanne Sable

The Solar SistersThe Solar Sisters are singer- songwriters Jeanne Sable and Valerie Piedmont who perform “eco folk music”.  Accompanied by Jeanne’s finger-style guitar playing, the Solar Sisters sing about the environment and sustainable living, issues of the day, and rural life.   Their songs consist of beautiful harmonies and a sense of optimism – and vary between the personal, the political and stories about others. In addition to their music writing and performing, Valerie and Jeanne are both involved with The Sustainability Project, a nonprofit founded in 2000 promoting care for the environment and community.  Valerie is the Executive Director; Jeanne is on the Advisory Board.

Jeanne Prevett Sable is also a freelance writer and author of “Seed Keepers of Crescentville”, a novel illustrating how the introduction of genetically modified seeds and plants impacts a small New England farming community. Several of her original songs relate to characters and places in the book.
