This weekend’s offerings include three very different styles of music- Alt/Folk with The Chatfield Phoenix, tunes from the Great American Songbook with Off the Cuff, and Folk / Bluegrass by Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum.



Nest of Bones CD for Blog


The Chatfield Phoenix is a duo who performs original music as well as covers with creative interpretation.  Accompanied by guitar, their songwriting, arrangements and harmonies offer a powerful – and compelling – performance.  The Chatfield Phoenix released Nest of Bones last year. They return to Local Burger Friday night with Nathan Keyes and Brian Dickens.  The concert starts at 9:00, no cover.






Off The Cuff portrait for blog


Off the Cuff is a quartet from the Antrim area who plays a wide range of music styles, including rock, folk, jazz, blues, and world beat.  The group is three vocalists, accompanied by strings, percussion and occasionally flute.  Their music includes jazz, swing, blues, bluegrass, rock, folk and world music styles.  Off the Cuff has been together for fifteen years, interpreting well-loved songs with freshness and energy.  They released Cuffed… At Last!, in 2008.   They play a two hour show at the Milford Public Library from 7:30 – 9:30.





Laurie Lewis & Tom Rozum


Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum return to DelRossi’s on Sunday as part of a limited tour in the eastern US. Expect traditional folk and bluegrass selections as well as originals written by Laurie.  Together since 1986, they have won acclaim for both their vocal style and instrumentation, which includes mandolin, fiddles and guitrars.  They have released three CD’s, including 1996 Grammy Nominee for Best Traditional Folk Album, The Oak and the Laurel.  The performance is at 6:00, advance tickets required.
