Located on the Connecticut River at the foot of the Brattleboro downtown area, Whetstone Station is a microbrewery and restaurant that hosts live music. Music lovers enjoy local, regional and occasionally national acts of all genres and Thursday evening and sometimes on Sundays as well. Owners Tim and Amy Brady and David Hiler bought the former Riverview Café and remodeled it to create a casual dining space with an industrial design. Two decks offer outdoor dining with great views. Whetstone Station is open seven days a week year round. The menu has a side variety of offerings for any sized appetite, and use local ingredients as much as possible. Beer lovers are treated to homebrewed, regional micro-brewed and international beers. The in-house brewery offers a selection of two or three experimental brews, produced in small batches of about six kegs, so the variety and style of beers change regularly. Patrons who do some brewing themselves will appreciate the recipes and brewing process posted on the website.
