The Windham Orchestra begins its 45th Season this weekend on a celebratory note: the premier of  Kinan Azmeh’s Flute Concerto, commissioned  to commemorate Claremont’s 250th Anniversary! Claremont resident Melissa Richmond is the soloist.  Also on the program is Mozart’s Symphony No. 31, Schubert’ Symphony No. 8, and Strauss’ Gypsy Baron Overture. There is a Friday evening performance at the Claremont Opera House and a performance at the Brattleboro Area Middle School. Both concerts are at 7:30; admission is by donation.
