Neptune's Car performanceNeptune’s Car (Holly Hanson and Steve Hayes) is an acoustic duo from Massachusetts and New Hampshire who play original, Contemporary Folk music. In January 2015, the duo released their third album, The 45th Parallel. The album was the #2 album on the Folk charts for February 2015 with two songs tied with each other at the #5 spot. In April 2015, the song “Fly Fishing the Big Hole” was honored with an Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting in the Folk/Americana category from The Great American Song Contest. In June, the duo was named a Grassy Hill Emerging Artist and invited to play on the Main Stage at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. Neptune’s Car has been performing together since 2006 — both as a headliner and an opener. Some of the musicians they have opened for include: Archie Fisher (2014), Bill Staines, Seth Glier, Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem (2013), David Mallett, John Batdorf (2012), and David Wax Museum (2010). Some of the musicians they have co-billed with include: Dale Jett and Hello Stranger (2014), Mustard’s Retreat, Anne Hills, Neil Woodward, Dan Hall (2013), and The Steel Wheels (2012).
